So. As you probably know, we've been rather frustrated with four of our members lately. Well, if 'lately' means 'since they joined'. But especially frustrated lately. We've finally decided to ban them. If you weren't aware of this, you should probably go read Clumsy's post in Vamp. (There was a link right there but it's not working for some reason. You know where to find it.) Have you read it? Good. Don't freak out. I know she might sound a little bit insane. So I'm going to explain the situation in a saner fashion. Quite frankly, this site expects a certain degree of good roleplaying from the members. We tend to be very understanding when people mess up, and if they're just not very experienced, we try to help them improve. When Umbra, Ace, Riddick and Fingers joined, we thought that they could improve. We accommodated their bad roleplaying. We attempted to save roleplay after roleplay that they took over. We tried to help them improve. We were very polite (though at some times we were only barely.) They brushed us off, they dismissed us, they said we were unreasonable, and they kept doing it. The thing is, roleplaying is, at it's roots, a game. That means we're supposed to have fun. The four were only proving to make it unpleasant for other roleplayers and certainly very stressful for us. So we used our admin priveleges, and for the first and we hope to god last time, banned them. What I want to stress it that this wasn't just a "I don't like you, you're banned" thing on our part. We dealt with them for a long time. It's been too long. As for the rest of you? We love you. We adore you. We think you're absolutely fantastic. Sure, you may piss us off in the future, but at this point you guys are the good kid. Stay with us here.
| O Captain my Captain! our fearful trip is done, The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won, The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting, While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring; But O heart! heart! heart! O the bleeding drops of red, Where on the deck my Captain lies, Fallen cold and dead. --Walt Whitman |
